Description
Despite huge progress in many countries, LGBTQIA+ rights issues continue to be a problem around the world.
It is an invisible difference – we cannot identify if someone is LGBTQIA+ from their appearance.
While LGBTQIA+ people remain ‘in the closet’ in the workplace, and around them colleagues believe same-sex relationships are wrong, there will be an impact on performance appraisal and career progression.
We cannot be truly successful unless we can create the environment where everyone can bring their whole selves to work.
This e-learning module looks at the global picture of LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the workplace, considers some of the barriers in the way of success and shares some case studies of best practice.
Learning Objectives
We hope at the end of this lesson you will be able:
- To understand how we still have a long way to go to create a genuinely LGBTQIA+ tolerant workplace
- To learn how this is a business issue as well as a human rights issue
- To understand some of the critical barriers in the way of inclusion
- To learn from other companies and take action
