Tickets are on sale now for Masculinity in the Workplace, our International Men's Day event on 19th November!
It's obviously virtual so you can join from under your favourite blanket with a cup of tea.
After the success of the last two events, we have taken up the challenge to truly drive change at a leadership level. For us, leadership is not about the corner office. It’s about doing the right thing. It’s about role modelling change and attracting others to follow suit. We need more courageous leadership right now. From everyone.
This is what's on the agenda:
Gareth Thomas (Former professional rugby player, sporting legend and advocate of gay rights) will tell us his story about being the first high profile sportsman in the world to come out as gay whilst still playing.
I'm going to host a fireside chat with Stuart Heritage and Robyn Wilder (parents and journalists) about gender, parenting and how we can prevent ourselves from reverting to stereotypes in times of crisis.
You will be able to join various interactive workshops covering; Masculinity, Leadership, Empathy, Vulnerability, Mental Health and Unconscious Bias.
A leadership panel with Christian Thor Larsen (LEGO), Leendert Den Hollander (Coca-Cola) & Nishma Robb (Google).
You will leave with:
- Learnings from covid19 about modern leadership.
- Understanding how people cope and thrive when their version of masculinity is at odds with the dominant version of masculinity.
- An exploration of why we see vulnerability as a weakness when it is fundamental to inclusive leadership.
- Knowing how we can create more empathetic leaders.
- Knowing more about building our own cultural intelligence to ensure that workplaces are inclusive.
- The means to challenge traditional constructs around masculinity.
- Ideas to break down the barriers that make it hard for men to get support.
The event is brought to you by The Hobbs Consultancy, Utopia, Coca-Cola European Partners, CDM, Verizon Media and Audio Network.
ALL FOR £25!!!! Tickets here
