I am passionate about gender diversity and supporting young women from ethnic and disadvantaged backgrounds so they are able to access higher education and fulfil their potential. This is personally important to me as my mother was the first girl in my village from India to go to school. I wants to be a role model to my Sikh children so they have the courage and confidence to face any bias and discrimination they may come across in their lives.
