Once we are aware of the barriers to diversity, equity and inclusion in our organisations, we have to work to intentionally remove those barriers.

Diversity Deep Dives : Towards Allyship
A series of workshops, webinars and / or courageous conversation circles designed to get your organisation into action.
We will design the journey that suits your organisation. Typical topics include Calling out Microaggressions, Anti-racism & Active Allyship, Co-Creating Brave Spaces and more.
Workshops 3.5 hours
Webinars 90 mins
Courageous Conversation Circles 60 mins
I work at FutureBrand and have interacted with you in the past few webinars and Courageous Conversations moderating trainings. You may get this all the time, but I still wanted to send you a note personally thanking you and Adé for your work, generosity and commitment to making the world a better and more equal place to live in. Although I really like my ‘day job’ and have been very happy at FutureBrand for the past 8+ years, the sessions with Hobbs have brought back a sparkle in my eyes and an excitement to do more, to be better, and to inspire people - something that I didn’t even realized I had lost.
Inclusive Recruitment
We've designed a 3.5-hour workshop for line managers and HR personnel to delve into inclusive recruitment, tackle challenges, and exchange ideas with peers. Accompanying the workshop is a comprehensive handbook offering practical guidance on implementing inclusive recruitment, including tips and best practices for each stage. Additionally, participants receive a follow-up call with a member of our central team to address any additional support needs.
The workshop aims to:
- Change organisational attitudes on inclusive recruitment.
- Provide actionable tools for transforming hiring practices.
- Enable the recruitment and retention of a diverse talent pool.
Half Day Workshop
Great training workshop for those who work in recruitment to understand the challenges we all face and have a space to discuss them and ways to improve, do things differently as well as promote what we are doing well.
Ensure those going through change and / or with additional barriers in the way of success have access to tailored support
1:1 Coaching
Coaching is a transformative intervention that can support anyone in your workplace who is dealing with additional barriers in their way of success.
We offer coaching through significant life events - the fertility journey, the menopause transition and grief & goss as examples.
We also support minority employees unpick the barriers in the way of their own success. Whilst it is not their responsibility to create systemic change, we support them by adopting a strengths based approach and by unpicking the systemic messaging that might be holding them back.
We usually recommend a minimum of 5 x 1 hour coaching sessions
The coaching with THC helped me realise it was ok to be dyslexic and a working Mum in the workplace. The DiverseMinds conference was my lifeline, the coaching was my lifeboat and now I'm building the skills and resilience so I can finally find my safe harbour.
Parental Transition Coaching
Our approach to coaching as a part of the DEI agenda began with Maternity Coaching.
We had a deep-seated belief that businesses could do better to support women as they become mothers. Women, on average, are now having children later and typically have more established careers as a result.
Failing to recognize this important and still developing family dynamic, puts the engagement and retention of this highly experienced and talented group of leaders at risk. Maternity coaching has been proven to improve retention rates – which helps to retain female talent throughout the organisation.
Research also shows a strong correlation between maternity coaching and career re-engagement. Supporting women through this transition makes their return to work productivity faster and reconnects them with their career goals. We have also found that line managers benefit from a raised awareness of the challenges their direct reports are facing.
Supporting women and parents at key inflection points is critical for greater diversity in leadership positions.
It is no longer solely women who are able to take extended leave around the arrival of a new baby and who might need support with that transition and we have extended our offering accordingly.

Line manager involvement as appropriate
It was an overwhelming thought coming back to the office after 10 months of being away, but after having my coaching sessions before I left and just before I returned I felt much more in control. They really helped me to rationalise what was about to happen, set some realistic goals and realise that I didn’t have to do absolutely everything all at once. Lisa offered me a platform to actually sit and think about myself (at a time when that rarely happens!) and guided me through my own thoughts, rather than just telling me what to do. She really just listened to me and helped me summarise my thoughts and feelings in a way that makes them much more manageable and stops panic from setting in!
Mental Health for Line Managers
Line Managers don’t need to be able to diagnose mental health issues in their teams, but they do need to be able to spot some of the warning signs of a problem. In this workshop we explain what mental health is, explain the concept of reasonable adjustments and provide signposting support.
We will explore how to have a conversation with someone in your team about Mental Health - suggesting how to prepare, language to use and boundaries for that conversation.
Finally, we will explore the concept of mentally healthy workplaces and your roles in creating those.
Half Day Workshop
Firstly again, thank you! I have received so many messages today with people saying how much they enjoyed the session and many ‘she is brilliant’ comments and I agree so strongly. Even in a virtual setting you had such a wonderful gentle way of building rapport with the audience. With covid, 2 kiddos at home, you’re still killing it! I think sometimes we need a reminder of that!
Conflict Resolution Training
We believe that conflict is inevitable in organisations and in relationships and presents an opportunity for new learning about others and ourselves. The ways in which conflict is resolved is key to productivity, individual and corporate growth and personal wellbeing.
Conflict is also at the centre of the Diversity and Inclusivity agenda. The greater diversity of opinion in the room, the more likelihood of conflict, however we often don’t know how to handle it as we’re used to being surrounded by people of similar opinions and backgrounds.
This workshop explores different perspectives on conflict and teaches the skills to transform conflict.

Life events e-learning suite (for line-managers)
Those going through significant life events have often been asked to continue to show up at work without their emotions or performance being impacted by what is going on at home.
Inclusion is about enabling our colleagues to show up as themselves and not leaving parts of themselves outside of the workplace.
Therefore a huge part of the inclusion agenda must be to ensure line managers have the understanding, empathy and skills to effectively and compassionately support with such life events as they arise.
This e-learning suite is aimed squarely at line managers to give them the tools and expertise to support their direct reports through any events that life may throw at them.
c. 45 mins per module
A fantastic session for team member and line managers alike. If we are going to provide the best possible workplace for maternity leavers to return to, then we need the senior people involved.
Career uplift programmes
We provide programmes to support groups in your organisation who may have additional barriers in their way to achieve success in their careers.
We have been running female career programmes for 6 years now, and are applying the learnings of implementing these in organisations to launch programmes for different groups e.g. Career break returners, the Neurodivergent, BAME employees.
2-3 day workshops
Modular programmes also available.
Just a note to say a huge thank you for a brilliant experience over the last 3 days. I didn't really know what to expect - but it surpassed all my expectations and has left me with a big bucket of thoughts, feelings, and actions to conjure with. Although I felt blessed to be in such a warm, generous, and open-hearted group of women, there is no doubt that you were the magic sauce for the time we had together. You offered up the opportunity for learning with such a lovely pace - allowing us all to unfurl - and made room for each of us to learn and share and disappear when we needed to - with so much skill and kindness.
E-learning to support with hybrid working, mental health and anti-racism
We have created further e-learning to educate managers on how they can step into their allyship and create more inclusive workplaces.
Hybrid working - supports managers implement hybrid working effectively in their teams.
Anti-racism - demonstrates how ‘not being racist’ isn’t enough to create change, and instead offers practical steps you can take.
Mental well-being – educates line managers on how to talk effectively and openly about mental health in their teams.
