"I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”
~ Stephen Grellet 1773-1855

Hi everyone
We do hope that you are enjoying the sunshine and managing to catch up IRL with the people you love.
We've got an exciting schedule of events for you over the next few months.
1. Imperfect conversations about race Part 2: 12.00pm Wednesday 29th July. Sign up link here. Tickets by donation with proceeds going to Runnymede Trust.
Our first imperfect conversation about race was so well-received we're doing another one. As a bonus we also raised £500 for UK Black Pride.
"I wanted to say how much I enjoyed and valued the webinar between yourself and Ade. I loved the fact that there was no script and that it was an 'imperfect' conversation. I'm sure it was terrifying for you both, but it came off extremely well. If only more of us could have conversations like this. It helped forpeople to have a more informal approach to the discussion about racism. Last week we held a zoom meeting with 70+ attendees where we had a 'call to action' from one of our colleagues, then breakout time to discuss the topic of micro-aggression and then a re-group to discuss what we'd learned."~ Sophie Compton Carr, Commercial Director, forpeople
2. Affordable support package - runs September, October & November.

We know that the commercials are difficult right now and training budgets are hugely reduced or cut completely. However the need for support has never been greater. In our 1:1 coaching, themes such as remote working, resilience, managing your emotions and working through change are coming up time and time again. We have decided to create an affordable open programme to provide the mental health support that's hugely needed. The hope is that for those of you who are either not working, or do work for companies with limited budgets, you'll be able to afford this accessible programme. It is also open for companies to purchase a number of places, so as to make accessing support for your people more affordable. Every week there will be a themed webinar (£10), followed by group coaching (£35 including webinar) and 1:1 coaching (£85 including webinar) focusing on the same topic.
We have been running the same programme at Blue Latitude Health and Fishawack globally over the past couple of months:
"The work you and Emma have done for us these last couple of months has been nothing short of miraculous. We are so grateful and you’ve essentially pathed the way for real group integrated training and focus on mental health and diversity." ~ Kirsty Wear, Head of Talent, Blue Latitude Health
3. Dare to Lead™ - mornings of 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th September
Sign up link here.
We have successfully delivered this programme virtually and will likely deliver the September planned event virtually too. This is a research based curriculum exploring courageous leadership. In essence it teaches the 4 key skill sets of Courageous Leadership. There is a new curriculum with greater emphasis on the need for courage when considering Diversity and Inclusion.
"Life enhancing stuff" ~ Jane Woods, Pfizer
Tailored diversity training
Finally, I just want to reassure you all that the Zoom training is working...! These issues are too important to hold off on until we're back in the office. We have now delivered our core Diversity 3.0 workshops online, also offering a shorter, less interactive version that can be delivered to as many people as possible. Here's some feedback on the full, interactive workshop delivered via Zoom.
"A massive "thank you" to you both for the session yesterday. I thought it was outstanding and given the challenges of running a course remotely, I thought you guys absolutely nailed it. Down to the breakout groups via Zoom, which made for very personal, honest conversations, it was great." ~ Casey McDevitt, Commerical Director Europe, Buzzfeed.
Speak to you all soon!

*This quote has personal significance to me. I was clearing out under my bed during lockdown and found a notebook from the 1910s with a bunch of motivational quotes written in it. I realised I was looking at something my Great Grandparents must have owned (my own Grandma wasn't born until 1928) and I make up that the quotes and notebooks were looked at during WW1. This particular quote stood out and I have sourced it as a Quaker quote from the 17th / 18th century.
